1. Finance Team
-Review tax exempt status
-Review compliance with Merchant Services
-Contribute to annual report
-Prepare and distribute annual giving report to donors
-Prepare for 990s
-Provide financial advice as it pertains to non profits
2. Residential Services Team
-Develop policies and procedures for resident life
-Help develop curriculum and mentoring programs for residents
3. Fundraising Team
–Baby Bottle Make A Change Fundraiser
–The Princess Dance, held in February
–Gala, held in May
–Sparrow Scramble, held in August
-Research and write grants*
-Host a House Party
-What’s your idea for your group? Car wash, bake sale, Blood Drive, A-Thons
4. Donor Relations Team
-Write Thank You notes to donors
-Plan Thank A Thon
-Celebrate Board and Volunteers with notes of encouragement, parties, etc
5. Marketing/Communications Team
-Update social media
-Update website with events, news, pictures and videos
-Write press releases
-Develop artwork and graphics
-Develop brochures, signs, videos
-Contribute blogs and articles
-Contribute to monthly eNewsletter
-Write letters to community movers and shakers
6. Connections Team
-Become a Sparrow representative at civic group gatherings
-Become a church liaison between your church and others
-To hold periodic networking events to recruit volunteers, board members, and potential donors.
-Develop outreach material.
-Help Build The Flock
7. The Flock Prayer Warriors Team
-Pray for the needs and concerns of The Sparrow’s Nest.
-Encourage and communicate prayer needs among the Board, staff, and volunteers.
-Provide specific prayer functions to enhance prayer activities for the ministry.
-Encourage worship for what God has accomplished through the ministry.
8. Facilities Team
– Help develop project management plan
-Help develop wishlist of needed items both inside and outside The Nest.
-Help acquire tools, supplies, and wishlist items
-Assist in home improvement/maintenance projects such as landscaping, painting, dry wall repair, decorating
-Assist in larger renovation and construction projects such as building new garage/long term storage, filling in pool for prayer garden, replacing windows, updating electrical outlets, etc.
9. Administrative/Support Team
-Create forms and applications
-Volunteer needed to keep all Sparrow events up to date on community calendars
-Volunteer needed to keep Sparrow scrapbook up to date
-Enter volunteers into our database and contact those without a current application on file to ask them to complete a new application.
-Need new TSN leader folders put together.
